Partner with Boardman for structural steel pipe and tube production, pressure vessel manufacturing, and more—for unrivaled quality and stewardship.
Precision is of paramount importance in cone rolling and steel plate rolling. Rollers must be set up with uncompromising accuracy, and the angle of the rollers must be exact. This will minimize or eliminate distortion in the rolled part and ensure its quality and uniformity. The final geometry will be consistent, allowing for more reliable performance in the field. When manufactured with exactness, cones will fit precisely with other components—whereas incorrectly shaped cones (even by a fraction of an inch) can add to project costs and cause delays.
Precision in cone rolling and plate rolling can control the amount of scrap produced during rolling, reducing the cost of production and passing those savings on to you, our valued customer. Contact us to discuss how our rolling capabilities can add value to your next project.
With an in-house plate-rolling capacity of up to 3”, we have the ability to roll cylinders for our projects as well as for local fabricators who rely on us to fulfill their rolling needs. Our under-hook height allows us to roll cylinders up to 16 feet in diameter, while our smaller plate-rolling equipment allows us to roll smaller-diameter, thinner-walled cylinders.
Keeping our plate-rolling capabilities in-house ensures our cones and cylinders meet our high quality standards—which also happen to be the highest in the industry.
Our plate roll isn’t just for rolling plates. We also have the capacity and the expertise to roll shell cans and cones for our projects and yours. By completing these cone-rolling jobs in-house, we can ensure that every piece meets the highest standards in the industry.
