That’s why you need a stripper column design and fabrication expert who’s not only experienced but who has a great reputation in your industry. When you partner with Boardman for your stripper, you can rest knowing that the product will be precisely what you need.

Why the Fabricator You Choose Matters

What level of expertise do you demand for the design and fabrication of stripper columns? If you’re like our customers, you demand nothing short of excellence.

At Boardman, we know that columns must be designed and manufactured to the most stringent standards for proper operation. We use your specifications to fabricate equipment that will meet flow rate, fluid dynamics, and sizing requirements to ensure you get exactly what you need.

We also know that our product must be easy to operate, so conditions like temperature, pressure, and flow velocity can be closely monitored.

Only when all of these elements come together can a stripper be considered of the highest quality. Boardman has been focused on quality since 1910, and we’re ready to discuss how we can bring that high standard to your next stripper column project. Contact us to discuss.

Put Boardman’s Capabilities to Work for You

Our stripper column design and fabrication capabilities rival any other in the industry. That’s because we’ve been in the business since 1910, continually enhancing our skills so we can bring the best to our customers.

Are You in One of These Industries?

Stripper columns are necessary components in processes for these industries, and we provide for all of them, and more:

What Dimensions Do You Need?

You’ll find our 140,000 ft² facility in Oklahoma City, OK. In that facility, we are equipped to handle projects up to the following dimensions:

  • 6” Thick Walls
  • 16’ ID x 200’ Long
  • 350 Tons

What Type of Metal Does Your Stripper Column Require?

Your specific product will require particular materials, based on your industry and particular application. We are ready to provide and work with any of the following metals:

What Standards Will Your Stripper Columns be Subject To?

A stripper column must meet several U.S. national standards in order to be considered safe to use. All stripper columns must be designed and manufactured so they meet or exceed the standards put forth by the following:

  • ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
  • NBBI (National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors)

They must be manufactured with ASME-approved materials, pass an annual inspection by a certified inspector, and adhere to specific safety requirements, such as having a safeguard system and carbon dioxide detection alarm system. All of these requirements must be met for a stripper column to be considered safe to use—and Boardman will do our part to make sure you get a product that’s ready to pass all inspections.

More than Stripper Column Design & Fabrication

A stripper column is a type of distillation column used in industrial applications to separate liquids from gases or one liquid from another. The liquid is fed into the top of the column, while the vapor or gas is lightly introduced into the bottom. As the liquid flows down the column, it comes into contact with the vapor, and the components are stripped away from each other. The liquid component eventually reaches the bottom of the column where it is collected, while the vapor travels upwards and is removed at the top.

Those are basics of stripper operation, but at Boardman, you’ll get so much more than high quality. You’ll also experience the stewardship we promise to provide—meaning that you’ll be guided through the entire process at a level that meets your needs.

That stewardship will be delivered whether you’re in need of a stripper or any of these other trayed tower and column products:

Let’s have a discussion about how our trayed tower and column fabrication can enhance the efficiency and affordability of your project as a whole. We’d also be happy to talk about any ASME pressure vessel, or custom fabrication (including heavy plate fabrication) needs you might have.

We’re ready to make your job a whole lot easier!

Definitely a great team effort between HFS and Boardman to get this knocked out quickly with no mistakes.  Appreciate you and your teams help getting this across the finish line!

“I am glad you guys do the newsletters. Educate AND do the work. Most don’t do this. It is similar to what Dave Ramsay says about looking for a Financial Advisor… look for one with a heart of a teacher.”

Equipment Engineer

“I would like to go out of my way to say this is the quickest I have seen a vessel come together. Your ability to manage this on such short notice does not go unnoticed and definitely will earn you some more business. Your professional approach and ability to keep this moving was amazing! I was hoping to see this thing through to the end and see about getting some Guiness world record trophy on our walls.”

“Your engineering team has gone above and beyond for our current projects. We have thrown quite a few changes at them and they have dug into code details that are not normally required to satisfy the requests of some of our SME folks. They are always available, even when they’re off or on weekends to help answer any urgent questions. I tried to find something we can do to help recognize the extra efforts, but could not come up with anything. Thank you for the efforts and willingness to work with us so closely on these urgent jobs.”

Mechanical Engineer

“It was great pleasure and it was sure a huge effort pulled by Boardman organization. Promoting such events are very helpful to the engineering community in general but very few places realize the same. Boardman being exceptional and very hospitable place to be for this event. I want to say Thank You Boardman!”

Mechanical Engineer

“Thank you and everyone at Boardman for an excellent 2 days of training and exceptional hospitality. While it gave me the opportunity to get out of the office for 2 days, it was also a great training/refreshing opportunity for me and on top of it, I got to visit your facility, which I think is quite impressive. Hope to have some more work in your shop soon. There are several folks here who were amazed when I told them that you guys had welding stations set up and each of us got to weld and try out as many as 4 welding processes. Please keep me posted on the next training session.”

“I just wanted to share some photos of the Deisobutonizer being lifted into place yesterday. None of this would have been possible without your efforts in both the manufacturing and transport of the tower. This is the largest structure on the project and you all deserve a lot of credit for this milestone. It was not only a pleasure to work with you all on this fabrication and hauling to site of the monstrosity but it was a privilege to have such a team behind us to make this happen with no incident and what on the surface seemed child’s play. You all should be very proud of yourselves and your collective teams and firms, without you none of this was even conceivable.”
